Less than an hour by car from Inverness and a short drive from Loch Ness, Cannich Woodland Caravan & Camping Park offers peaceful surroundings close to the Glen Affric National Nature Reserve.

Cannich Woodland Camping and Caravan Park offers a picturesque retreat for holidaymakers seeking an escape to nature in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Nestled amidst tranquil woodlands and breathtaking landscapes, this idyllic getaway promises a memorable outdoor experience for individuals, families, and adventurers alike.

The six acre site is located in the quiet village of Cannich on the new long distance trail The Affric Kintail Way. There is our on-site Bog Cotton Café (March-October) and just five minutes walk takes you to the grocery store and the local bar serving food.

The area around Glen Affric is fantastic for outdoor enthusiasts, with a wide range of high and low level walking and cycling trails and an abundance of wildlife. Our local information point is stocked with a variety of information about the local area and further afield.

The site is owned and operated by Matt Jones and his eldest son Seth. Both are outdoor enthusiasts and particularly knowledgeable about local walks and bike trails – well maintained bikes are available for hire. Matt is race director of the annual Glen Affric Duathlon.

Come and stay in our camping pods or choose a pitch for your caravan, motorhome or tent on our site in a wooded valley providing ideal access to the mountains and beauty of three glens – Glen Affric, Glen Cannich and Glen Strathfarrar. Static caravan accommodation is available adjacent to the woodland camp site.

The nearest trail to Cannich is 15 minutes by car or a 30 minute bike ride. In summer a local bus service takes you right into the glen allowing time for walking and a picnic. Try fishing for wild brown trout in Loch Benevean.

Take a car or bike ride over the hill to Glen Cannich and follow the road to the massive Mullardoch Dam built in the 1940s to direct water to the Fasnakyle Power Station which provided the first electricity for the Highlands.
